This is a low-heeled boot rather than a wedge, so it doesn't pass all 5 of my personal rules. The chunky heel is steadier than a stiletto and the boot holds your whole foot, so lots of people with milder aches find it comfortable. With chronic, intense heel pain like mine, add a pair of our arch support insoles.
