FAQ

The shoes

Are these heels?

Mostly, no. Our dressy wedges and everyday wedges sit on a gentle, low wedge: just enough lift to take some pressure off your heel, without the strain of a stiletto. We also carry a small range of low heels and boots for milder, everyday aches, and we say clearly on each page which of our rules they pass.

What makes a shoe "Sunday Soles approved"?

It has to pass all five of our founder's rules: a 3–5 cm wedge, real arch support, a cushioned heel, a secure back strap, and it has to look good enough to wear out. Any style that doesn't pass all five has an honest note on its page explaining why and who it might still suit. Read more in our story.

I'm on my feet all day at work. What should I wear?

Start with our everyday wedges. They're the super cushy styles with a soft sole, a gentle lift and a strap that holds your heel, and they're pretty enough to wear to work.

Will these help my plantar fasciitis?

Our shoes and insoles are designed to support your arch and cushion your heel, which many people find makes standing and walking more comfortable. They are not a medical treatment or cure. If your pain is severe, getting worse, or hasn't improved after a few weeks, please see a doctor or podiatrist.

How do the sizes run?

Each shoe lists both US and EU sizes. Sizes can vary a little between styles, so go by the EU size and your foot length. If you're between sizes, size up. Wrong size? Exchanges are free.

Do I need to break them in?

Give your feet a few days to get used to the arch support. Wear them around the house for an hour or two first.
