Holidays mean more walking than usual, often on uneven ground. If you have sore heels, the wrong shoes can ruin a trip. Here's a simple packing list.
1. A supportive walking sneaker
For sightseeing days. Add arch support insoles if the shoe's own footbed is flat.
2. One dressy wedge for evenings
Skip the heels. A jewelled low wedge goes with sundresses, linen pants and swimwear cover-ups. Our Riviera Wedge was made for long lunches and sunset drinks.
3. Supportive slides for the pool and hotel room
Hotel floors are hard. Avoid going barefoot where you can.
4. A small recovery kit
A massage roller takes up almost no room and feels lovely after a big day on your feet.
Packing tip
Wear your bulkiest shoes on the plane and tuck small items inside your shoes to save space.
